Have your new start read Sections 4, 5, 6 and 7.

4. "How to Get Your First Six Bookings" stresses the importance of starting with six shows in 30 days. Since this is party plan, or show business, the best place to showcase your products and to get further bookings, recruit leads and referrals is at the home show. This module also walks a new start through how to make a list of 100 prospects. 

5. "Getting on the Phone – What to Say" – This module gives actual scripting on how to direct the conversation for a positive result. It offers different verbiage for different booking call scenarios.

6. "Your 30-Second Commercial" reinforces the importance of having an answer to the question, "What do you do?" This training module actually gives examples of 30-second commercials for consultants with different companies (kitchen products, jewelry, home décor products, cosmetics and skin care, etc.)

7. "Making a Booking Lead Notebook" – This section helps a new start get organized. By creating a place to keep all contact information on booking leads, you will always have someone to call and will never be out of bookings. Actual verbiage is given on what to say when you call your booking leads, complete with scripting for different scenarios.

SUGGESTED HOMEWORK (In assignment format):

1. Make your list of 100 using the five suggested categories of contacts.

2. Write your calling script.

3. Call six (6) people from your list and ask to book a show. (If you get more than three “no’s,” call your leader or mentor immediately.)

4. Make your booking lead notebook and begin to record the results of your first calls.

5. Write your 30-second commercial.
