PAINT YOUR OWN PICTURE

This week's thought comes from Chris Widener, one of our most highly respected contributors.

"Like an artist standing over an empty canvas, you have the power and the ability to make this day into whatever picture you want it to be!

"A certain freedom washes over you when you realize that every day is a day you can create. You don't have to have your day painted for you. You have the power to pick up that brush, choose your colors and begin to make your day (and your life, for that matter) whatever you will.

"Take responsibility for your life today. Understand that you can choose your joy and peace by making the decision of what picture to paint. Then pick up that paintbrush and dip into a color you love.

"Now, with big, bold strokes or perhaps fine, small strokes, make of your day what you will. Just remember: the picture doesn't get painted the way you want it until you actually begin to paint!"
